
The Trans Nzoia Association of Turkana Students (TRATS) is set to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 1st November 2025, at Deep Sea, Kitale, under the inspiring theme “Leading to Empower Young Soul.” This year’s event will be graced by Hon. Joshua Angelei as the Chief Guest, a progressive leader and passionate advocate for youth development who continues to inspire a new generation of changemakers across Turkana County. Hon. Angelei, who has officially declared his ambition to contest for the Turkana East Parliamentary seat in 2027, has consistently demonstrated visionary leadership and commitment to grassroots empowerment. His participation in this year’s TRATS AGM highlights his belief in the potential of young people to shape a brighter and more inclusive future for Turkana.

Biography: Hon. Joshua Angelei
Hon. Joshua Angelei is a young, energetic, and visionary leader from Turkana East Constituency. Over the years, he has emerged as one of the most promising leaders advocating for equitable development, education, and sustainable livelihoods among the Turkana people.
He is widely respected for his community outreach initiatives that focus on:
- Youth empowerment and mentorship programs
